Birthday Wishes for two friends and one awesome sister!!!

I want to wish three people I know( of course) the happiest birthday ever!!!!!! Hannah turned 17 on the 11th...and she had a very 'different' birthday. Mama, Hannah, and I were at the show the whole day....and when we got home 'finally' Kinsey had made a birthday cake, so she opened her presents, and i gave Hannah an awesome hound i made out of clay w/ a white hat on!! ;) Hannah named him B. P. lol and then we all ate cake. I <3 u!!I could be going in more depth about her birthday...because some funny things did happen, but since i'm wanting to go finish a picture of my elf princess...i want to hurry!- Everyone thinks my drawing looks 'scary' but i think she seems as if she has a lot of secrets!!! : )She's standing in the woods, w/ her long hair and a long dress holding a white rose!! Anyway...( i always drift away from my subject!) I also would like to wish my pen-pals Annie Kibrick and Roschelle Ingels a super , super birthday!! I've been writing them the longest...Annie and I have been writing since we were 10 and Roschelle and I since we were 7! so yeah, that's a really long time!! lol So, i hope yall had the greatest birthday blast ever !!!

Southern Christmas Show

- Our display at the Southern Christmas Show!!! Doesn't it look awesome! By Saturday, we had sold out of all the merchendise.....Daddy carved some santas...and Hannah painted them, so we had about three santas to pack up at the end of the show.lol All in all it was a good show- if we had only brought more merchendise! :) The two weeks at the show is lots of fun, but you get real happy when Joan Zimmerman comes over the loud speaker and says' The 2009 Southern Christmas Show is now closed!" You can hear loud whoops all through the three buildings! Then all the exhibitors start to take their booths down. Poor Robert has tried every year to beat us in getting outta of their....but to no avail. It was kinda sad though this year. It was his last year :( after all the years he's been doing it :( Anyway, we beat him again....but this time we had two booths, AND we helped our neighbor take down her booth too!!! lol So we really, really beat him!!!! The show closed at six, and we were out on the road at 6:49!!!! I was sooo happy!!! Katie did come, and help...so it was eight people against one Robert and his wife...kinda unfair. lol

This year at the show seemed (to me) to go by faster then usually....idk the days were very looong, but still the two weeks flew by. The Martins got to come up for one of the days...Kathleen and i tried to go through all three buildings before they left to go eat. Oh well, didn't happen. Maybe next year!
Whenever Hannah and I felt restless...we'd find an exit and for at least an hour get away from all the people and noise!! It felt so good. There are so many funny 'little' things that happened to us...but i can't write all of them- ( i'll do that in my diary! lol) Throughout the show it was mostly just Hannah, me and Ian when he didn't have Karate. Kinsey and Micah were too busy in school. So they came up only on the two Sundays. This is KINDA ( i can laugh a little about it now) a funny story that occurred to me because of who-HANNAH!!!
On the last Saturday- a day before the end of the show, the 'este Lauder' - a big makeup place w/ very, very expensive makeup came up on the stage. ( we are right across the stage, so we can see everything that comes on) And, sometimes the audience wins free makeup. Like last year Micah and I won mascara. I gave mine to Mama though, since i don't wear that stuff. Anyway. So mama sees them up on stage and says- Chloe why don't you go try to win me something free! I wasn't going to , just because it was very comfortable sitting under the table, and writing in my 'new' book i'm workin on!!! BUt then Hannah starts to make me feel bad...and in the end i was going to sit in the bleachers w/ my book- (she can be pretty persuasive sometimes.) So, i'm sitting in the very back....all the other makeup fanatics are right near the stage soaking in every word the este Lauder women is saying. The 'show' was getting a bit boring for me- so i pull out my notebook and start to draw an awesome picture!! lol I knew i was in for it when i heard the director like person w/ the microphone call out over the audience to me - " Honey do you have a raffle ticket' ( to win prizes everyone has to have a ticket) So i say- " Yes Ma'm' and continue to draw. Then the program starts...the lady asks everyone- "Okay, lets see who is the most excited about winning some este Lauder makeup. Y'all make some noise. " All the audience erupts in 'noise', except for me. I felt stupid already being in the audience...and i was not going to make myself be seen by having a fit over makeup ! lol Onto the main subject....i was just letting y'all see how the stage is when they come on. - Then the lady calls out- "okay, we're going to do something new today. Our makeup artist is going to pick someone from the crowd to demonstrate on." - Now i knew that the make up artist GETS people to VOLUNTEER. to come up on stage....but never before has anyone been forced- and that is exactly what happened to me!! :O The makeup artist struts across the stage in her huge black high heeled boots and looks directly at me . When i met her gaze i had the most awful feeling , and i quickly looked down at my paper. I heard the awful words come out of her mouth. I had the thought of walking calmly back to the booth which was in eye distance. She said - "Would the young lady in the very back come up on stage?" The audience turns to see who the ' young lady in the back' was. This is dumb...but i also turned. Like someone could be behind me if i was in the very very back! In the end they got me up on stage...i don't even now how. I guess i didn't want to make a scene. Because when i wouldn't come up...and after a politely refused her command, she yells in her micro phone...to where the whole entire show could hear- "Comon y'all, lets try to get her to come up on stage" So, then i had to go....i looked back at Hannah...who was unsurprisingly LAUGHING IN THE SAFTY OF THE BOOTH. I gave her the look that only i could give...and calmly walked up on stage. If that isn't all, she embarrassed me more by saying out to the world- Do you have a booth here? " I pointed. She looked. There was mama and Hannah standing there smiling like this was soooo funny. - "Oh is this alright w/ Mom? " She continues on. - ' have you ever worn make-up" ----me----" no"------ " OH! She's never worn makeup!" So yeah, i was mortified....people were starting to stand around and watch, and here i was Chloe sitting in the este Lauder chair on stage. I felt so stupid. Then Mike, Robert, Doreen and all of them are just standing there...laughing. Oh well. The woman told me- ' Don't worry, i want put alot on you" I doubted that. Her face had like five inches of makeup on. I was correct. After she was done , Hannah and i went upstairs where there is no one up there, and i saw my face. Let me tell you it was a shocker- i looked like a nut. lol No i'm not kidding. I guess it was just because i don't wear makeup, but i didn't look like Chloe. I scrubbed and scrubbed with a wet paper towel, but nothing would work. Mama said we weren't used to expensive makeup, then Hannah said she heard them say it was water resistant. I almost cried. so yeah,I had to go around the show looking like that till nine o'clock that night. The only good thing i got out of my tortured day was - I won Mama a big bag full of new makeup...which would probable amount up to 200 dollars. And Y'all can just imagine all the fun i had getting the stuff off my face when i got home....a blast. a big blast.

All in all, i had a very fun two weeks at the show, and not to mention carving that big santa was awesome!!!!!!!! Pictures to come soon....i hope.

Ramblings on a Fall evening.....

These past few weeks have been pretty busy!!! Orders...and the show in less then three weeks ( i think ; ) But i haven't been to busy to notice the awesome fall weather...and the beautiful changing leaves colors on the big ole oaks!!! Just so pretty..as Anne would say " that's the prettiest poem i have ever seen"- and it is. A poem that has not been set free into words yet! The chickens have started laying...finally!!! I've found ten already! lol We're havin' an egg race...Steve the rooster is still guarding the back yard, i think even more meanly then he used to...i found out a way to escape from being pecked by his awful beak...kick off your flipflops, scream at the top of your lungs and run for your life!!! No, i'm not kidding i think he runs faster then dogs- he will be right on your heels...it's so scary! I've got to start standing up to him, and show'em who's boss! : p

I want to wish my Mama the most greatest birthday EVER!!! She turned 46 October 15!! She's the most awesome Mama in the whole entire universe! :) I mean com'n what Mama's do you know would go on hayrides w/ her crazy kids, explore the old remains of the dear old mill...lol ( that was an awesome day) Cook a million times a day for the kids who never get filled up, teach four art classes every week, keep the house up... teach eight kids, the first all the way from k5 to 12 grade! Work at home....and be the greatest friend to her kids!! There are just so many great things i could keep on mentioning, but sadly not the time....i really hope she sees how awesome she is!!! I wrote this poem to her for her b-day!

Fall

Days grow shorter
Trees grow barer
I watch as the flowers die
Leaves all flutter
With each other, throughout the darkened sky.

Barren ground recives
A blanket of new leaves
We rake them up high
Jump, and make believe
We're soaring through the sky

Air feels crisp and clear
I close my eyes real tight...
Smell Mama bakin' pumpkin pies
Beneath the kitchen light

It's fall down here
A breeze is blowin' by
Everything is going right
And I don't even wonder why...
